The drone light show industry is becoming increasingly more popular. With the advancements in technology, they have taken on a whole new dimension. Drones have become a popular tool for creating mesmerizing drone light shows that captivate audiences. But which drones that are used for said light shows?
The drones used for light shows are typically small, lightweight, and equipped with LED lights. The most used drones are quadcopter, meaning they have four different propellers. These drones are designed to fly in sync with other drones (in a swarm we say), creating intricate patterns and shapes in the night sky. They are also capable of producing a wide range of colors, which can be programmed to change in time with the music, objects and performers for example.
As explained above, drones that are used for light shows usually contain a couple of unique characteristic. For this reason, there are 2 drones that are most used for drone light shows
Did you know Nova Sky Stories is our hardware supplier? They created a system by acquiring the Intel fleet and their know-how and combining this with their own expertise. The result? The world's most efficient drone light show system there is.
The foundation of the system is a launch pad that holds 6 drones. This system makes scalable drone shows a piece of cake. The Nova Star Drone is designed to be used straight from the launch pad. Everything it needs to do happens inside the launchpad, such as charging and uploading our drone shows. It even lands back inside the pod, which makes working with the system very efficient and work-friendly!
Because the system is designed to be scalable, flying a drone show is only a matter of plug and play (well, taking all the preparations regarding creating a drone show into account). This enables us to set up a 200 drone fleet in about 2 hours, about half the time it costs with other systems!
There you have it, the two most well known drones for flying spectacular drone light shows out there. Of course, they are just a few examples of the drones used for these drone shows. With their lightweight frames, LED lights, and stable flight capabilities, they have opened up a whole new world of creative possibilities for entertainment. One we are gladly participating in!
