New Year's Eve drone show

The way to celebrate the arrival of 2024? A New Year’s Eve drone show! We turn the sky into (y)our canvas, using our drones to paint a mesmerizing spectacle of lights, colors, and patterns, ushering in the new year with a cutting-edge New Year’s extravaganza.

New Year’s Eve Drone Show

Let’s kick off with a quick explanation of what a drone show is. Simply put, a drone show is a number of drones arranging themselves in aerial formations, often accompanied by music. Equipped with lights and synchronized to perform a choreographed show, our drones can create almost any image or shape to tell mesmerizing stories in the skies.

A New Year’s Eve drone show is a great way to share past year’s memories and welcome the new year. A classic for New Year’s, sometimes, drone shows are complemented by fireworks. As an alternative to traditional celebrations, drones can also mimic a firework show, minus the loud bangs and pollution.

Drones for The New Year?

Wondering if drones are used for New Year's celebrations? Yes, they are! Cities such as London, Dubai, and New York have embraced the concept of custom New Year’s drone light shows to celebrate the past and new year.

We welcomed 2023 with our Amsterdam New Year’s Eve drone show right in front of our office. As the first-ever Dutch company to create a show of this kind, our Amsterdam New Year’s drone show combined music, visuals, and fireworks to wow.

ARE DRONE SHOWS BETTER THAN FIREWORKS?

This is food for discussion. While fireworks are beautiful, they do bring some downsides. Fireworks release pollutants into the air, contribute to noise pollution, and produce a lot of waste.  On top of that, fireworks also bring safety concerns. In contrast, drone shows have a lower environmental impact. Safety concerns are not included, and the lives of animals are hardly influenced.

Cost-wise, a grand New Year’s Eve drone show is about just as expensive as a big firework show. Inclement weather can impact drone shows, they are more susceptible to adverse weather events like high winds and have difficulty flying in the rain.

THE COST OF A NEW YEAR’S EVE DRONE SHOW

So what does a New Year’s Eve drone show cost? This is influenced by numerous factors. We will name the main ones.

  • Number of drones - a very important factor, every drone costs about €500 to fly
  • Custom show - do you want a custom-created drone show or one we have flown before?
  • Location - where is the drone show flown, the more remote, the more difficult
  • Audiovisual extras - fireworks and (well-known) performers for example
